Welcome to the second issue of "Generations Monthly" - informing you about what GEN has achieved last month in both SWG and WoW as well as some general information, conerning us all:

Generations turns four! - MilleSabor

On Friday the 2nd 2002 "Earth & Beyond" was released in the US and although no one remembers the exact date "Generations" was founded it has been close to the release-date of that game. GEN has tried to keep track of their ascent to world-domination by taking screenshots of an annual all-member-meetup. Members of SWG-division please log in on Sunday, September 3rd at 7:00 pm Greenwich Mean Time (note that British Daylight Saving Time is in effect so GENs located in the UK log in at 8:00 pm local time please) and meet at our PA-hall opposite the shuttle port in New Jove?s to have those screenshots taken ? make sure to wear your best clothes!

Roma Victor has gone live - MilleSabor

The latest MMORGPG "Roma Victor" has been published and Mille has created an account "Marcus Milleus Valerius" (you may hardly fail to notice that he plays as Roman and not as Barbarian). He won't be frequently playing however: While the game has a great setting it is a lagfest and "ugly" as description for the graphics would be an euphemism.

SWG-leader busy - MilleSabor

Our leader in SWG, Tornadium, has currently a lot of RealLife-stuff to care for - he won't therefore be as often online as he used to be. Good luck, Torn: May all your projects turn into success!

GEN up to challenge in WoW - Llandier

GEN are trying their hand at a new instance in World of Warcraft called Naxxramas, this is the new instance that appeared in the wow 1.11 patch and is designed to be the hardest instance that will be available before release of the WOW expansion. Generations has also dropped the MC (Molten Core) instance due to the fact that the week has only so many days and they are no longer able to raid every instance.... As MC is the lowest of the dungeons that had been raided, it became the sacrifice that the guild needed to move foward.

Followup: Also, as well as starting the naxxramas instance, we took a peep into another unexplored dungeon called The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ40), and in true gens style on our first visit we took down the first two boss's, good job guys. This places us in the Top 6 alliance guilds on our server, and in the top 9 of all guilds on our server.

WoW-officer drafted into army - Llandier

Our friend and fellow officer Aviad has been called up to the Israeli army during their current conflict. All Gens wish him a safe and speedy return so that he can get his ass kicked in Naxx (read above for a brief info on Naxxramas): stay safe bro!

New Players in SWG - MilleSabor

welcome to our new players Opoet, Kreediii, 'eher (and his alt Mikaa) , Fesie and finally G-Moneyy ARAS to the guild. As Odeki has added his alt Ikedo and Sevener his alt Sakurah to GEN the rumours of the demise of GEN in SWG are slightly exaggerated: We are very much alive!

Particulars in WoW - Llandier

We welcome back brigah, who has been a long time member and who has recently returned to raiding. And we say a happy birthday to our friend Ajax this month (former SWG-hero and now valuable member of GEN in WoW).

Promotions in SWG - MilleSabor

Krelob has been promoted to officer and his first task assigned by Cobacca was to pick flowers from the plaza in New Jove's - there are still a few that you have forgotten to pick, Krelob!

Dirisio has been accepted to the city-militia - as he already knows how to serve and to protect in RealLife he might teach us a thing or two.

Promotions in WoW - Minea

Congratulations for the promotions this month: Elrath, Ericemerald, Kyukushen and Turkish have been promoted to (Honour Guard), Chormarie and Woocal have joined the ranks of (Elite Guard) and Philep has become (Veteran)

A friend returns to SWG - MilleSabor

Our old member Dusty has reappeared after some time of absence caused by issues in real life: Welcome back Dusty! Some of his stuff is missing however as it had been in Kea?s house which has been plugged. Let?s keep our fingers crossed that he?ll get his resources back: We can use his skills as weaponsmith.

Cobacca seeks life as troglodyte - MilleSabor

Cobacca has decorated his new house as cave, using dozens of gold-veined asteroids from space-mining. As a Wookiee is supposed to have chosen a more "forestish" look for his home, we already wonder when Cobacca will start to leave his house singing "Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, It's Off to Work We Go".

Talk to me - MilleSabor

While it is an essential tool to organize raids in WoW the fact that Generations has a Teamspeak-Server (TS for short) is not widely known among players in SWG. Get a client here and make your voice count! Ask your officers about IP-address and password (and no: You are NOT allowed to pass this information to people outside the guild). Please log out of TS when you have finished using it, some players remain on their for 24 hours logged in and it creates unecessary network traffic.

GEN-forum - MilleSabor

Please make sure to register at our forum (http://forum.genguild.com) and ask for access (please use one of your ingame-names so that admins are able to recognize you): It is a great place to stay in contact with other GENs (or get acquainted with them - there are some nice guys there even if they play a different game), talk about geeky stuff, upcoming games, books, music or get help with whatever your heart desires. You might even find some useful stuff there such as a table with ingame-abbreviations.
