last month has seen the advent of Lord of the Rings online-beta on the lists of games that Generations is active in. Those of us who were fed up with Sony's policy of nerfing, nerfing, nerfing and those of us who didn't like WoW because of it's cheesy graphics, it's story and rudimentary crafting now have a platform to get together in a setting that appeals to all of us (We all like the books after all, don't we?). It's good to see old friends in a game again...
GENs gather momentum in Lord of the Rings Beta - MilleSabor
Due to the tireless efforts of our most distinguished guild-leader Kwambus a lot of GENs are granted the chance to play US-beta already. Unfortunately there are still some players who are too obviously originating from Europe and thus haven't been accepted yet. Even though they are almost certain to be accepted into European beta server-splits are annoying and we are looking forward to the finished game when we hopefully agree to play on one server again.
For those of you have been lucky to be accepted into beta: Please add to "Character-names in Beta"-thread on our forum.
Iflassi has finally gotten her long-deserved promotion to officer: This also serves to close a gap during the day when no officer had been present in SWG.
SWG: new players, long lost friends and alt-characters - MilleSabor
We welcome the following new members into GEN:
"People KnowMe" (yes, that is really his name - welcome to the guild people!), our second new member, Aewat was recruited by AceBeorn whom we are glad to have back after some prolongued leave. AceBeorn also added an alt-character to the guild: Stannis Baratheon
Finally we are glad to welcome Heero with his new alt Soven Yuy back into SWG.
Vendors on the run in SWG! - MilleSabor
Eyevi has unfortunately lost all his vendors when he was unable to log in for two weeks. A ticket to Customer Service Representative (CSR) has confirmed that this is indeed intentional: A vendor that hasn't seen any activity for two weeks (like someone purchasing an item or putting up an item for sale) will be deleted from the game. This may seriously affect any traders in the guild: If you have vendors and are not able to log in for a longer period let us know so that we are able to offer some trinkets to it at least.
SWG: Resources for those in need - Iflassi
Iflassi has set up a secret stash of resources in our cantina: Let any officer know if you need a certain type of resource and they'll check if it is available in which case they'll be glad to dole it out.
Cobacca's account on wildlife in SWG - Cobacca
I was searching for some hide on Dathomir and started killing some Elite Enraged Rancors... To my surprise, 75% of the time they were dropping modded loot. They are level 80 so most of the stuff is level 80 as well, so it's nice for the mid level guild. It's not uber, but the Rancors are very easy to kill as their health isn't very high so there is a great volume of loot. I found them up near the Singing Mountain Clan POI
WoW'ers storm from victory to victory - Kwambus
Two more bosses have been felled by our raiders in Naxxramas instance: Anub'Rekhan and Instructor Razuvious - another confirmation of the already proverbial predominance of GEN in PvE!
Racoons dwindling in WoW? - Kwambus
In an effort to conserve energy before the release of the much anticipated expansion in 2007, WoW'ers have reduced their weekly raiding-schedule from 4 nights to 3 - this will hopefully remove the dark circles around the eyes of some players...
Please make sure to register at our forum (http://forum.genguild.com) and ask for access (please use one of your ingame-names so that admins are able to recognize you): It is a great place to stay in contact with other GENs (or get acquainted with them - there are some nice guys there even if they play a different game), talk about geeky stuff, upcoming games, books, music or get help with whatever your heart desires. You might even find some useful stuff there such as a table with ingame-abbreviations... Make sure to read our FAQs first!
